By hosting most of the applications we build, we are able to give our clients a single point of contact for a complete end-to-end service. Each client is given their own virtual server in our rackspace. As well as hosting the sites and applications we build for clients we can also host third-party systems for them, such as Email or Sharepoint.

Virtual servers are customised to the size and usage requirements of the sites running on them. As the requirements of clients change, so the server environment can evolve to meet those requirements. Extra disk space and memory can all be added via remote administration and with no more than a few minutes downtime.

Powerful

 

The virtual servers all run on high performance multiprocessor servers. During periods of peak demand it will be able to command more processing power than a single budget server.

Reliable

 

Due to its portability, the virtual machine may be moved across to other servers with little or no extra configuration. Consequently the impact of hardware failures can be minimised. In the event of hardware failure on the physical server, it can be swiftly restarted on a secondary server. A ModeZero engineer can carry out this process via a remote Internet connection. Backups are made to this secondary server every night ensuring a minimum of data loss. In the event of catastrophic failure at the data centre, the virtual machine can be restored to an emergency server at the ModeZero offices.

Secure

 

The servers are protected using an industrial firewall and we have a detailed alerting service which allows us to know what is happening to all our clients' sites at all times.
